Lorca began to study law and humanities at the University of Granada. He also became friends with the painter Manuel Ángeles Ortiz. The Federico García Lorca Foundation serves a s a center for the artistic world of the poet, promoting research and dissemination of his work, as well as all the artistic and cultural manifestations with which he may be associated.
